The principle of sublimation transfer printing

Sep 29, 2022

Transfer printing refers to the printing process in which dyes are transferred to fabrics through transfer paper. It is based on the sublimation characteristics of some disperse dyes, selects disperse dyes sublimated at 150~230°C, mixes them with the slurry to make "color ink", and then prints the "color ink" on the Transfer paper (this is a special kind of paper, so it is called transfer paper), and then the transfer paper printed with the pattern is in close contact with the fabric, and the dye is removed from the printing paper under the control of a certain temperature, pressure and time. It is transferred to the fabric and enters the interior of the fabric through diffusion, so as to achieve the purpose of coloring.

   In addition to being suitable for synthetic fiber fabrics, transfer printing can also be used for the printing of natural fiber pure spinning and its blended fabrics.

   It has some of the following advantages:

   (1) No water, no sewage;

   (2) The technological process is short, and the finished product is finished after printing, and post-processing such as steaming and washing is not required;

   (3) The patterns are fine, the layers are rich and clear, the artistry is high, and the three-dimensional sense is strong, which is beyond the reach of ordinary printing methods, and can print patterns in photography and painting styles;

   (4) The printing color is bright. In the sublimation process, the tar in the dye is left on the transfer paper, which will not pollute the fabric;

   (5) The rate of genuine products is high, and multiple sets of color patterns can be printed at one time during transfer without the need for matching flowers;

   (6) The flexibility is strong, after the customer selects the pattern, it can be printed in a short time.
