How to use self adhesive sublimation paper

1. Preparation before printing
Choose a suitable printer and ink: You need to use an inkjet printer that supports sublimation printing and is equipped with special sublimation ink. Ordinary ink cannot achieve the effect of sublimation transfer.
Adjust printer settings: After designing the pattern to be transferred on the computer, set the printer's print quality to high quality to ensure the clarity and color saturation of the pattern. At the same time, select the appropriate printing mode according to the characteristics of the printer and the requirements of the transfer paper.

2. Print pattern
Choose a suitable transfer paper: According to the items to be transferred and the needs, choose the appropriate size and type of adhesive sublimation transfer paper. Make sure the surface of the transfer paper is clean, free of stains and creases.
Printing: Print the designed pattern on the printing surface of the adhesive sublimation transfer paper. After printing, let the ink dry fully to avoid affecting the transfer effect.

3. Transfer operation
Prepare the substrate: Clean the surface of the item to be transferred to ensure that there is no dust, oil and impurities to ensure the firmness and effect of the transfer.
Alignment: Place the printed transfer paper with the pattern facing down, gently place it on the substrate, and align the position. For substrates with irregular shapes or special requirements, more careful alignment is required to avoid pattern transfer deviation.
Perform heat pressing: Use heat pressing equipment to heat press the transfer paper and substrate. Generally speaking, the heat pressing temperature is around 210℃ to 220℃, and the time is 20 to 25 seconds. The specific temperature and time may vary depending on the type of transfer paper, the material of the substrate, and the performance of the heat pressing equipment. It is recommended to conduct a small-scale test before the formal transfer to determine the best transfer parameters.
Cooling and peeling paper: After the heat pressing is completed, let the transfer paper and substrate cool down slightly in a natural state for a while. When the temperature drops to a level that is not hot to the touch, carefully peel the transfer paper off the substrate. If you find that the transfer paper is tightly attached to the substrate, do not peel it off forcibly to avoid damaging the pattern. You can appropriately extend the cooling time before peeling it off.
