THE PRINCIPLE OF WATER-BASED SUBLIMATION INK

Jun 27, 2022

The front and back of the inkjet sublimation paper are separated. This is not like the typical standard printer paper that you use.A printing surface is the term used to describe the front side of the transfer paper. Consequently, it may be said that the sublimation inkjet paper's print surface is located on the front side of the transfer paper.

Generally speaking, there are three methods to identify a sublimation transfer paper's print side:

The principle of heat sublimation process: water-based sublimation ink in the high temperature state of the thermal sublimation phenomenon, at high temperature, the paper dye will be directly from the solid through high temperature into gas, so that the color from the heat sublimation paper to transfer the surface of the article. This process can often be seen in the production of advertising agencies and textile industry.

Heat sublimation paper: Heat sublimation paper can be uniform, sufficient absorption of dye sublimation ink, and at high temperature can absorb water-based heat sublimation ink completely released from the paper, color transfer to the surface of the transfer object. Ordinary printing paper can also complete the transfer, but the transfer rate, that is, the transfer of color is slightly worse than the heat sublimation paper.

Heat sublimation coatings: These coatings work in tandem with sublimation ink to enable it to conform to a wider range of surfaces, primarily non-fabric ones, and provide an output effect that is adequate.

When sublimation transfer ink is heated, it can create images on a variety of materials, including fine porcelain, metal, silk, chemical fiber cloth, and others, in the shortest amount of time. The images have photo-quality clarity and realistic color, and they can be preserved permanently, making them ideal for customized development to meet market demands. These include studios, handicrafts, apparel printing, plant proofs for printing and dyeing, mementos of picturesque locations, large-scale digital ink-jet printing, color map heat transfer banners, advertising banners, and more.
