Sublimation Paper Instructions

May 09, 2022

How does sublimation operate, and what is it? Sublimation is, thus, a really good, expert method of customizing puzzles, mousepads, t-shirts, coasters, and more. Though it is a procedure where the picture becomes a physical part of the material, it is comparable to heat transfer. Special paper, ink, and polyester-coated objects are used in sublimation, and they all interact with one another. Sublimation ink becomes a gas when heated to high temperatures, and the polyester-coated object's pores open to let the gas in. The polyester item's pores then shut once it is taken out of the heat, keeping the ink inside. Things made via sublimation feel silky to the touch.  You won't be able to feel any image outline if you run your fingers across the sublimated item. The color is so much more vibrant than the inkjet heat transfer paper it's ridiculous!
