How to identify better sublimation transfer paper?
Jun 05, 2024
We should know what sublimation transfer paper is, so we need to know more about what sublimation transfer paper is. Here's how to identify sublimation transfer paper from many aspects.
1. Transfer rate: The transfer rate is the basic performance of transfer paper and is the characteristic that distinguishes ordinary inkjet paper. A good transfer speed can make the color of the transferred object more gorgeous and save ink. China does not have a conversion rate inspection standard, and domestic copy paper manufacturers generally do not have this corporate standard.
2. Ink compatibility: As a board paper manufacturer, the board paper produced should be as adaptable as possible to various board paper inks. In order to make the board coating have appropriate solubility for various sublimation inks, so that the ink pattern can be delicately reflected on the board, so that the coating does not penetrate the paper, the transfer rate is reduced.
3. Drying speed: The drying speed is fast, and the user can use it conveniently, which improves the continuous printing and delivery speed. Printing speed is also a parameter for board paper manufacturers to track the printing speed of printers.
4. Warping degree and warping time: Strip paper is coated paper. The coating layer is inconsistent with the tensile rate of the bottom under dry and high temperature, and single-sided warping will occur. When the strip paper warps, the following operational inconveniences may occur.
1). The printer is not convenient to feed paper.
2). When printing with a large number of paper stacks, it is inconvenient to organize due to deformation.
3). Before thermal transfer, the transfer failed due to the deformation of the board paper and the uncertain alignment with the fabric.
4). Under the thermal transfer hot stamping plate, if the transfer plate paper is bent, the transfer plate will be wrong, resulting in transfer failure. The products produced by various carbon paper factories at home and abroad have different degrees of warping. High-quality carbon paper has less warping and slow warping, which can meet the smoothness requirements and time requirements of the printing production process and has better operation. Overcoming warping is a difficult problem that board paper manufacturers have worked together to overcome. The use of double-sided coating method can effectively improve warping, but this leads to increased production costs, and most domestic board paper production equipment does not have this condition. It can only be improved in coating formula and production process.
5. Printing with wrinkled purlin nozzles: The smaller the wrinkles of inkjet printing paper, the better. If the wrinkles are serious during printing, the paper is likely to arch on the nozzle. Especially when the illumination of the paper is high, it is more likely to be affected by the nozzle when it leaves the nozzle halfway (some companies add rough powder to the coating formula to make the surface of the board paper look like sandpaper in order to reduce costs). The method of reducing the wrinkles of the board paper mainly starts with the base paper. When the base paper is wrinkled, the coating will have fewer wrinkles. The second purpose is to improve the coating formula to reduce wrinkles. The board paper coating formula uses nano materials to ensure the softness of the board paper surface for more than 3 seconds without damaging the nozzle.
