DIGITAL INKJET SUBLIMATION PAPER

Mar 25, 2022

Paper for digital transfer is made in different widths and thicknesses. composed of two layers: a surface coating and a base paper. The ink is carried by the base paper, but the chemical coating holds the ink in place and lets it dry on the surface. The criteria of good dry and good transfer efficiency are mutually exclusive. A good transfer paper should be able to transfer most of the ink to the fabric while allowing the ink to dry as quickly as feasible on the surface.

It is critical that these values operate correctly in the press and on paper printing equipment. It must undoubtedly be free of unwanted materials, such dust stains on the paper. The printing heads can be seriously harmed by tears and deformations near the paper's edge. The amount of ink to be utilized in the design and the pattern's density must be taken into consideration when determining the paper's thickness. Using a light-weight paper in a very dense pattern results in printing problems due to the material's swellings and makes the paper difficult to pass through machines and printing presses.  However, the moving parts of the printing machine can be dama- ged due to the weakness of the paper.

Ink and paper conformity is also very important. When using different ink and paper, ink pulses of the printing machine must be set again by qualified service personnel according to changed items.

Using transfer paper with high transfer efficiency can reduce ink consumption much higher than estimati- ons and allows you to save your ink costs that cannot be ignored. As a result, you can produce your products at a total cost much lower than you spent on both paper and ink. Thus, you can lower your costs and give less damage to the environment.
