How to remain the same color when you change sublimation paper ?

Apr 06, 2022

How to remain the same color when you change sublimation paper , is a common issue most of the customers will meet in sublimation industry. When change a new paper, the color changes into the one that is different with before, or it does not show the real color you want etc.

When that happens, some customers are very anxious and worried, their first reaction would be :  the paper is bad, i was cheated, i have to talk with my vendor now, right now !

As a sublimation paper manufacturer, our job is not only providing quality material to customers, but also helping them solve the issues. So don't worry, we are going to talk about it now.

Initially, a change in hue does not indicate that the paper is defective.  To introduce sublimation ink into the sublimation transfer paper, an inkjet printer is utilized. A printer is a machine; until we instruct it what to do, it lacks intelligence and is powerless. Therefore, dialogue is essential. We, as sentient humans, might converse with printers in their own language—an ICC profile—because printers do not speak human. A set of data known as an ICC profile defines a mapping between the device source and target color spaces in order to classify a color input or output device, or color space, and to explain the color features of a specific device or viewing need.

Second, some consumers claim that even though they consistently purchase paper from the same source, the color varies each time. When I asked our engineer, he always said, "That's because their base paper changes." Some businesses choose to employ ever-cheaper raw materials in an attempt to win over clients who are more concerned with price reductions. In this instance, the paper's quality is to blame. The customer needs to be aware of it.

Anyway, in sublimation industry, if you are lucky in using the right paper, no problems occur; if you are using the wrong paper, many problems could happen, and the problems will be more and more.
